1. Who we are
HerWorkCircle ("we", "us") is built and run by its founder, @0xstorypreneur on X, who is responsible for the service and for these terms. Our websites are herworkcircle.com and the skill check app linked from it.
We help women across India find home-based work. Women take a skill check, our team reviews it, and we match them to work that we have checked. Businesses send us work, and our team of women does it, with a second check by us.
2. Using this website
In short: by using the site you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy.
If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be at least 18 years old to take the skill check or to send us a brief on behalf of a business.
We work hard to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be slow or unavailable. We may change or remove parts of it at any time.
3. For women taking the skill check
In short: the skill check is free. We can't promise you a job. You always see the pay and hours before you agree to any work, and you can say no.
The skill check
- The skill check is free. Nobody from HerWorkCircle will ask you to pay to take it.
- Please answer honestly and in your own words. The answers help us find work that suits you.
- You can stop and come back later. Your answers are saved on your phone until you send them.
Your profile
- Once you send your skill check, we keep your profile for as long as you remain part of HerWorkCircle, with no fixed end date, so we can keep offering you work and training.
- You may ask us to delete your profile, or withdraw your consent, at any time, by contacting us. We will erase your personal data within 30 days of confirming your request, except for anything the law requires us to keep. See our Privacy policy for details.
Work we offer you
- We don't promise that you will get work, or a set amount of work. We message you when something fits.
- Before any job starts, we tell you what the work is, what it pays, the hours and how you will be paid. You can say yes or no.
- Each job has its own written terms, which you see before you agree. If those terms differ from these, the job's terms apply to that job.
- You keep client files and information private, and use them only for the job.
- We may stop offering work to anyone who copies answers, shares client files, or treats others badly.
Scams in our name
If anyone asks you for money in the name of HerWorkCircle to take the skill check or to get you a job, it is not us. Please tell us.
4. For businesses
In short: sending a brief costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Paid work starts only when we both sign a written agreement for it.
Briefs and calls
- A brief or a call is not an order. Any budget you share is a rough guide for planning, not a price.
- We may turn down work we can't do well, or that doesn't fit our values or the law.
Paid work
- Paid work, including a trial, runs under a written agreement or statement of work. It sets out the work, price, deadlines, payment terms, confidentiality and who owns the results. If it differs from these terms, the agreement wins.
- Prices are agreed before each batch starts. Taxes such as GST are added where they apply.
- Redo promise: if a delivered piece doesn't meet the quality we agreed in writing, tell us within 7 days and we will redo it at no extra cost. This is our main remedy for quality problems.
- Unless the agreement says otherwise, you own the work we deliver once you have paid for it.
Your data and files
- You must have the right to share any files or data you send us, including any personal data about other people.
- Only the people working on your job see your files, and only what they need. We are happy to sign an NDA before you share anything.
- Please don't send us data we don't need for the job, such as passwords, bank or card numbers, or health records, unless we have agreed how to handle it in writing.
Working directly with our team
Our team members are trained, matched and supported by us. While we work together and for 12 months after, please don't hire them directly for the same kind of work without talking to us first.
5. What nobody may do
- Break the law, or ask anyone on our team to.
- Pretend to be someone else, or give false details.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Try to break into, overload or copy the site, or use bots to fill in our forms.
- Offer fake jobs or ask women on our platform for money.
6. Our name and content
The HerWorkCircle name, logo, film, text, questions and design belong to us. You may share links to our pages and our film. Please don't copy our skill check questions or present our content as your own.
7. Limits of our responsibility
We give the website and the skill check "as is". We try to keep them accurate and working, but we can't promise they will always be error-free.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data. For paid work, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do, and tell you about important changes where we can. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. We will try to sort it out within 30 days. If we can't, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka will decide.
